The K-9 III is the most powerful K-9 Dog Dryer in our lineup. For heavy-coat dogs and other thick-coat animals, you won’t find a better, more efficient dryer.
The K-9 III is a warm-air dryer, moderated to protect a dog’s coat from overheating. Twin motors mean you can switch between low-power for a gentler dry, or full power for an easy de-shed.
Units are available with an optional muffler to further reduce the sound. Electric Cleaner Company also recommends the optional K-9 Sleeve to reduce the hand/arm heat on the groomer and protect the hose from incidental damage, scratches, and bites from dogs.

Warranty on motor turbines is applicable only if motor turbines have not been taken apart or tampered with. Motor-turbines, hoses, or units to be repaired must be returned to the factory, freight prepaid or postpaid to apply.

Can I plug my K-9 dryer into a 110v outlet?
No, the outlet must be rated for at least 20 amps for any K-9 II and K-9 III dryers. Mini K-9, K-9 Fluffer, and K-9 I dryer models can be plugged into a standard 15-amp outlet.
Why is my K-9 dryer tripping my circuit breaker?
You must have at least a 20-amp outlet to run a K-9 II or K-9 III dryer. To help prevent circuit breaker trips, turn on one switch and count to 3 before turning on the second switch (2 switch models only) to avoid an amperage spike over 20 amps
What else can I use my K-9 dryer for?
Many customers have told us they use their K-9 dryer for blowing out gutters, drying cars and motorcycles, and blowing down cobwebs in their garage. We think the uses for your K-9 dryer are only limited by your imagination.
Are there add-on accessories for K-9 dryers?
- Yes, there are a 15’ hose for purchase, a wall mounting bracket, and K-9 Comfort Sleeves. We also offer a Heavy Duty Filter (car-style filter) for K-9 dryers.
My K-9 dryer is very loud. Is there a way to make my dryer quieter?
- The K-9 Muffler can be added to any K-9 dryer (dryer needs to be equipped with the Heavy Duty Filter accessory to use the K-9 Muffler).
Why is my K-9 dryer losing power?
This is a good indicator that your carbon motor brushes need to be changed.
Do I need to use the filter?
Yes, the filter helps to keep hair and dander out of the machine.
How long will my filter last, and how do I clean it?
Clean filters by blowing them out, vacuuming them, or rinsing with water. Let filters dry before reusing. Filters should be cleaned daily, and busy shops should clean them multiple times daily. Average filter life is 3-6 months, but if you observe any holes or tears in the filter, it should be replaced immediately.
Is a heavy-duty filter kit recommended?
The Heavy Duty Filter is a car-style filter and is recommended for our customers who take good care of their standard filters.
Can I use my K-9 Dryer to dry my cat?
Definitely. However, you may only need one of the motors to dry your feline family member.

What is the warranty on a K-9 dryer?
The warranty is 2 years on defects in workmanship and motors. All other parts are guaranteed for 90 days.
How often should I change my motor brushes?
Motor brush life is determined by usage. We recommend that motor brushes be changed every 9-12 months if the dryer is being used for many hours daily.
Why is my dryer getting so hot?
Typically, when your dryer gets hotter than usual, this is a good indicator that the carbon motor brushes need to be changed. Also, check the filter(s) on the dryer to make sure they are not plugged.
Why is there black soot coming out of my dryer hose?
Many times, this is a symptom of brushes that need to be replaced.
Why is my dryer not getting hot anymore?
On rare occasions, we have seen dryers not heat up when the carbon brushes need to be replaced.
Is there a heating element in my K-9 dryer?
No. The heat produced by a K-9 dryer comes from the motors, which create heat while being used.
I have an older K-9 dryer. Can I still get parts?
Yes, replacement parts are readily available. Be sure to have your serial number off your dryer to help our staff get you the correct parts.
Where do I find my K-9 dryer serial number?
The serial number will be found on a silver tag also containing the amperage data, etc.
Can I fix my K-9 dryer myself?
Some items may be easily fixed on some models, while others may be more difficult. It all depends on your level of mechanical and electrical aptitude.
How do I get motors out of my K-9 dryers?
